Opportunities to Give During the Holidays
Are you interested in giving back this holiday season? Finding a great project, drive or volunteer event shouldn't be difficult, which is why ConnectRichmond has compiled a one-stop list of holiday opportunities for you. We will be adding to this list frequently, so please send us additional projects for posting. Thank you for your efforts in making this holiday season a memorable one for our local community.
- Highland Park Outreach Center needs Christmas gifts for inmates and the elderly. Contact Chinary Hall at 804-908-6506.
- The Virginia Girls Choir will sing Advent and Christmas music on December 13 at St. John's Church. Call 804-649-7938.
- Two events with The Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen: 11th Annual Tree Lighting on December 5, and The Shoemaker and the Christmas Elves (presented by Theatre IV) on December 19. Contact Kendall Couch at 804-261-ARTS (2787).
- Central Virginia Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society is looking for volunteers to help with their Walk MS and their Bike MS. Contact Judy Griffin at 804-591-3034.

- The Richmond Ballet offers a number of events, including the December 4 Downtown Grand Illumination and December 5 Ukrop's Christmas Parade. Its feature event is the annual production of The Nutcracker from December 11 - 23. Contact Jess Burgess at 804-344-0906.
- Donate clothes, jackets and educational games to Asher Comprehensive Training Center for the Prison Fellowship Ministry's Angel Tree Project which helps children whose parents have been incarcerated. Items are needed by December 14. Contact Janice Best at 804-233-9494.
- FeedMore needs need everyday items such as socks, scarves, gloves, handkerchiefs, shaving cream, wallets and soaps for their annual gift drive for homebound neighbors. Call Jackie Farell at 804-934-1951.

- Centenary United Methodist Church offers two events in December: a blues and jazz music for the holiday season concert on December 6.
