Who has created/tailored programs specifically for people who have recently lost jobs, homes or are in some way trying to pull themselves out of a situation emerging from the economic downturn and what kind of work are you doing?

I worked with the Greater Richmond Chamber to develop a four-week program for displaced workers called "Next Steps." (Details are here -- http://www.grcc.com/page/name/next_steps) The focus primarily was on creating a unique space for a group of people to connect, reflect and be more intentional about where they wanted to point the next chapter in their careers. We had 40+ people run through the program, and received a lot of feedback that it was a unique space for participants -- many of whom had been or still are going to networking meetings, resume clinics and job fairs. I'd be happy to chat with you about it, Nancy. It looks like the Chamber had plans to offer several more rounds of the program in the near future.
