A recent column in The Philanthropy Journal (http://philanthropyjournal.org/news/charity-ceos-should-lead-taking-pay-cuts) argues that given the current economy, it's time for nonprofit groups to take action - and for the goverment and the IRS to take steps to remind nonprofit leaders that their role is to serve the public interest, not their own pocketbooks.
