National Wildlife Refuge Friends Grant Program 2010
Grants will be provided to assist starting refuge Friends organizations, to strengthen the capacity of existing refuge Friends organizations, and to fund specific projects. In addition, this year's program will prioritize those proposals that initiate or improve birding opportunities for refuge visitors. Competitive proposals will specify particular benefits to refuge birders and visitors who enjoy birds.
 
Good Husbandry Grants
Grants will be awarded for the sole purpose of improving farm animal welfare, with a concentration on three areas: increased outdoor access, improved genetics and improved slaughter facilities.
 
Student Groups Invited to Submit Entires for SeaWorld & Busch Gardens Environmental Excellence Awards
A program of the SeaWorld & Busch Gardens Conservation Fund, the 2011 SeaWorld & Busch Gardens Environmental Excellence Awards will recognize the outstanding efforts of students and teachers across the U.S. who are working at the grassroots level to protect and preserve the environment.
 
Disney Worldwide Conservation Fund
The Disney Worldwide Conservation Fund supports efforts to study and protect wildlife and ecosystems that also involve community participation and address human needs. Along with a focus on species and habitat conservation science, DWCF encourages programs that engage local residents and benefit both human and animal communities.
 
National Anti-Vivisection Society
Sanctuary Fund grants are designed to provide for animals in emergency situations. Previously, grants have helped rebuild shelters destroyed in hurricanes, tornadoes and other natural disasters, rescued animals from abusive situations, conducted wildlife rehabilitation efforts, and supported innovative spay/neuter programs.
